Nate Church lingers on the fringes of life in the small town of Glover, Vermont, tormented by the memories of a troubled childhood.
Through a chance meeting, he develops an obsession with Priscilla, the town beauty, and an unlikely affair begins under the nose of Priscilla's fiancee.
