Keeper of the Stone

A lovely Saxon lady, a fierce Norman lord... Can an innocent maid's gentle surrender quench the fires raging in the heart of a brutal enemy knight?  Young Lady Rhiann is captured by the Norman invaders after the fall of her father's grand estate in Saxony and taken to London to kneel before the Norman Duke William who would be England's new king.  By the king's command she is wed to his loyal vassal, Nathan, who was awarded her father's estates for his loyal service to the new monarch.

Afraid to trust her new husband with the secrets of her family's past, but terrified of what her future holds if Nathan proves unworthy of her trust, Rhiann struggles with Nathan's insistence that she give him her complete loyalty and confide all of her secrets to him, and against her own traitorous heart that is softening towards her Norman conqueror.

For his part, Nathan suddenly finds himself lord of a duke's estate with the duke's lovely, young daughter as his new wife.  Distracted by his lust for his new, beautiful bride and his conviction that Rhiann has been less than forthright with him about her past, Nathan is forced to juggle his responsibilities to the king, the oversight of his new lands and the growing mystery surrounding his young wife's Saxon family.  He fears Rhiann's reluctance to confide in him will prove a threat to both of their futures.
